And thanks to the advances that People’s Co-op has made in the wide world of technology we now have at our disposal several tools to help us provide better customer service than ever before. Take, for example, our web-based POS backend. Your ingenious technology squad has made it possible for you to access all of the POS backend tools from any computer in the store! And this means easy access to all kinds of helpful info when you are offering service to our fine patrons.
ex. RING RING RING “People’s Food Co-op…”
“Hi, i’ve got these tubs full of mysterious white-ish powder in my kitchen, can you tell me what these PLUs are?”
“Can you tell me how much bulk celtic sea salt costs?”
“Do you sell vegan glucosamine-chondroitin for dogs?”
In the old days, unless you were gifted with an encyclopedic brain, you’d have to run downstairs and check on the floor (cuz you don’t want to bother the busy floor staff, right?). Well now you can access all this information and more straight from your web browser. And i’m fixin’ to show y’all how!
How?!
From within the co-op, on any networked computer you can click on the below link to access the POS backend:
Say yes when prompted to accept or deny the security certificate. Some browsers will allow you to accept this certificate permenantly. Choose this so you don’t have to deal with that again.
When prompted for a username and password you can simply enter the following
u: admin
p: peoples
BOOM!
You’re in. You can now access all the same backend tools that are available on the backstock POS computer; look up prices, check to see if we sell a particular item, etc.
