Poolga offers a directory of wallpapers for mobile devices from artists, designers, and illustrators, and as far as I can tell…. they are all FREE (as in beer).  The designs range from stylish to whimsical, to outright beautiful.  I spent a loooong time sifting through their archives and found some real gems!  Like the one posted here.
